VHS VIDEO FILMS WE HAVE AVAILABLE:
"N-LIGHTENMENT" is a vhs video film made from reader send-in footage. During the one hour running time, most of the filming is from Robert Brown as he visits Don Horner and Dick Hargett at their shops in Ohio, and Harold and Jay Forrester at their Ford Tractor yard in Pennsylvania. Jay gives a very informative view of his six cylinder Funk conversion 8N, and Harold takes us on a tour of the tractor yard to see and compare the many differences in the early 9Ns and 2Ns. This is an N-lightening film done in a true homespun style.
The tape also contains a short clip of a hitching demonstration for pulling with a chain. Both correct and incorrect methods are demonstrated, showing what happens in each case. Knowing the correct method will prevent serious, even fatal flip-over accidents. This presentation is graphically clear. After seeing it once, you will never make the foolish mistake of hitching incorrectly even when you are in a rush.
Finally, there is a sample of a 1939 dealer "showroom" film which shows the 9N in action. This segment is interesting for its historical reference to the tractor, some implements, the Ford company's idea of advertising, and the state of the art of film at the time. Remember, these were the New York World's Fair days of 1939.
VHS Format, home-spun camera work, professionally edited and duplicated. $15.
"8N-THUSIASM" is a film made up of four professionally-made shorter films. First, a boy visits his uncle who has just taken delivery on a new 8N. The boy wants his father to get one also, and he manages to get the three of them down to the dealer to see a special film showing about the new 8N and all its latest features. There is an excellent presentation and animation of the new Hydraulic Touch Control system. The next day the father goes to his brother's farm to try out the new 8N. Of course, he likes it, and when he sees all that it can do, plus save time, work and gas, he too decides to get one. Naturally the boy is pleased.
The second item is a brief display of all the popular implements available for the new 8N. The third item is a quick paced demonstration of the usefulness and versatility of the new Dearborn Heavy Duty Loader on the new 8N tractor.
In the fourth cut, three 8Ns, equipped with a rear scoops and a subsoiler, demonstrate how to build a farm pond. Though this one is a black & white silent film with titles explaining the action, it is quite informative.
VHS Format, professionally produced, edited and duplicated. $20.
"HEY NAA!" is made up of four professionally-made short clips, and this set begins with the Introduction to the new Golden Jubilee. All the new features are mentioned and the theory of the new live Hydraulic Power is graphically demonstrated in special animation. NAA fans will love this film. The second clip is all about the Hydraulic System. It is a detailed explanation, showing each action in animation and out in the field. Constant Draft Control and Implement Position Control, two of the outstanding features introduced by the Ford-Ferguson system, are clearly depicted. This clip is a must for anyone who'd like to know more about Ford Hydraulic Power, whether on the NAA or one of the Ns.
The third clip is a run-through of the new, popular implements for the NAA, each mounted and in action. In the fourth clip, Agricultural Engineering at the Ford Tractor and Implement Division is explained. It shows how the farmer develops the need for special equipment to perform some kind of task, and how the Ford engineers begin to research and design to fill that need. The NAA is used to demonstrate with various implements.
VHS Format, professionally produced, edited and duplicated. $20.
OUR NEW 8N BUCKLE
The Half Century mark for the 8N has come. It actually happened on July 1947, when the remodeled Ford 8N began. Commemorating the occasion we proudly present our 8N Belt Buckle. A beautifully polished, solid pewter casting, this buckle exhibits the 8N as it appeared in the company brochure of that year, with the single rib front tire, and "twenty-two new features."
Ford called it "Streamlined, Compact, and Ready to Work." This motto appears on our buckle as well. This one's a real beauty and there's a neat surprise on the back. We're sure you'll like it. Order yours today. (See order form)
